Crane Club will be the latest hospitality venture for the Tao Group. The spot will be “landing soon” at 85 10th Avenue, according to the Tao Group website and recently filed paperwork.
The Crane Club will join other upscale Tao Group concepts in the city, including TAO Downtown, Cathedrale and The Fleur Room. The new spot appears to have plans for live music performances in addition to a full-service restaurant.
There will be limited alterations to the exterior, such as the addition of awnings above windows, the paperwork indicates.
Submitted paperwork indicates a raw bar and caviar service, as well as menu items like oven-baked clams, roasted chicken with herb crust and grilled burgers on a brioche buns. However, a spokesperson with the group told What Now New York that the menu is still in the process of being finalized and will therefore be adjusted from what is listed on filed paperwork. As of now, no further menu details have been released.
Noah Tepperberg, Jason Strauss, Marc Packer and Rich Wolf formed the Tao Group in 2009, inspired by the original Tao restaurant in Midtown. Since then, the group has built up a portfolio of venues both across the U.S. and internationally. Thomas Radecki will be the manager for Crane Club.
As of now, the timeline for opening Crane Club is unclear.
