Get ready to play New York, because a brand new Italian restaurant is opening up in Little Italy that will fuse gaming together with fine-dining.
The new restaurant, which has yet to be titled, is a new concept from founder Thomas Dunbar. Described by Dunbar as a “Gaming-themed restaurant,” the new concept will specialize in “Italian inspired cuisine,” which is rather appropriate for a new restaurant in the heart of Little Italy. Dunbar will additionally be theming his food and drinks, “based on trending gaming interests and products.”
Moving into the space at 133 Mulberry Street, Dunbar’s new restaurant will be occupying the space’s basement and will share an address with Aunt Jake’s, a popular Italian restaurant that focuses on creating homemade pasta. The space will feature 2,700 square feet of space, and is expected to be able to accommodate 50 guests at one time, with an additional 10-seat bar.
Currently in the process of acquiring the necessary beer and wine license for the space, Dunbar is proposing operating hours of 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM Sunday through Thursday, and 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately, Dunbar could not be reached for further comment regarding his plans for opening or the kinds of games he intends to highlight, but is safe to say that he is still very early into development, as the restaurant has not even been officially named yet. Should anything change though, we will of course update the article with the relevant information.
