A new Japanese restaurant, Kinzan Omakase, will be opening their first location at 10 Downing Street in the West Village, according to a liquor license application submitted to Manhattan’s Community Board 2.

The application, which will be reviewed by the Board on May 11, was submitted on behalf of Xing Qun Liu. It says in the application that it will be a family restaurant focused on Omakase-style sushi with beer, wine and liquor planned to be on the premises. The space formerly housed the New American restaurant, Cafe Clover, which closed in 2020 after a seven-year run, according to Eater

The menu attached to the application says it will serve a 12 course omakase for $75 and a 17 course omakase for $110. Its hours of operation will be noon to midnight every day of the week.
