A dizzying new bakery concept is coming to Rockefeller Center this Spring.

The Tipsy Baker is the latest concept to be announced from the Pain D’Avignon family. Founded in 1992 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Pain D’Avignon set out to recreate the Old World Traditions of baking and share them with a wider audience. Believing that bread is best enjoyed in its most simple and authentic form, Pain D’Avignon has now established a name for itself as one of the region’s premiere bakeries, and has been supplying Michelin-starred restaurants and five-star hotels for the past 25 years.

Now, the team at the legendary bakery is gearing up to debut a brand new restaurant concept for Midtown. Dubbed The Tipsy Baker, the new concept will function as a bakery-by-day and a bar-by-night, serving up tartines and quiches in the daytime and offering shared plates with wine and beer in the evenings. Of course, customers will also be able to enjoy the restaurant’s signature bread all day and night.

The Tipsy Baker is currently set to arrive at 30 Rockefeller Plaza some time this Spring. According to the New York Business Journal, the Tipsy Baker will be exclusive to Rockefeller Center and will be participating in the Rockefeller Center Rink Level’s “Under 30” program, which provides exclusive offers for under $30. While the New York Post has controversially declared the restaurants underneath Rockefeller center as “captive”, the news of Tipsy Baker’s arrival clearly indicates how desirable the location still is to so many New Yorkers.

According to their website, The Tipsy Baker is currently expected to operate Monday through Sunday from 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, every day. For more information as the team gets closer to their launch, you can follow Cafe D’Avignon on Instagram.
