The popular high-value, high-volume sushi concept Sendo in NoMad is planning to take its fast-and-approachable model to Greenwich Village with a second location at 43 West 8th St. This new outpost will occupy a 900-square-foot second-floor space, offering a significantly larger footprint than the original 300-square-foot location. While the brand is known for its minimalist aesthetic, the new location will provide an expanded dining experience with 29 total seats, including 14 at tables and 15 seats at a bar that will offer beer and wine, according to a filing with the city. What Now New York has reached out for more information.
The original Sendo location is known for offering high-quality sushi at approachable price points, thanks to low overhead and high customer turnover. What Now New York previously covered the original location, including the restaurant’s signature Sendo Don, a unique rice and seafood bowl that transitions into a soup halfway through with the chef’s addition of hot sea bream broth.
