Shifka is planning to open up in a 2,024-square-foot space at 324 Bowery Street this summer, according to the brand’s Instagram page.

Alykhan Bandali, Amir Nathan, Jordan Anderson and Daniel Turtel are behind the new concept, according to liquor license paperwork filed with the community board. Nathan and Anderson are also behind Mediterranean restaurant and wine bar Sami & Susu, which opened  on the Lower East Side in 2021.

The menu will feature authentic Mediterranean street food with a fast-casual approach. Offerings will include items like falafel, schnitzel, cauliflower shawarma and lamb kebab. There will also be dips such as hummus and babaganoush available. There will be soft serve available for dessert, as well as a limited wine, beer and drinks list.

Plans call for eight tables that will seat 26 as well as one bar. There will also be new signage installed to reflect the brand name, according to filed paperwork.

The proposed hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

What Now New York reached out to the ownership team for more information on the upcoming location but could not obtain a comment prior to the time of publication.
