On June 16, 2025, Prix Versailles released its 2025 list of the World’s Most Beautiful Restaurants. Among global architectural standouts, Beefbar and Japón brought international acclaim to the U.S.

World’s Most Beautiful Restaurants By Prix Versailles

Under the patronage of UNESCO, Prix Versailles pays tribute to innovation every year since 2015. They release a list of restaurants, museums, airports, etc., which showcase a marvelous blend of architectural creativity and innovation. The list for the World’s Most Beautiful Restaurants 2025 was recently released and two restaurants from the U.S. also made it to the global list.

Beefbar is a steakhouse chain that serves international beef cuts. With multiple locations around the world, the outlet located at 105 Hudson St, New York, NY 10013, has been recognized on a global scale.

Located in Tribeca’s neighborhood, the restaurant was designed by Humbert & Poyet and was founded by Riccardo Giraudi. The story of Beefbar started in Monte Carlo. Meals hosted in this Art Deco building in New York are mainly Meat-focused cuisine. Premium meat cuts with extensive wine pairings are famous among diners, and reinterpreted street food classics such as bao sliders.

Japon is part of The Setai, chefs Vijayudu Veena & Iván Monzón, designed by Saladino Design Studios.

The theme and main designs at the restaurant are inspired by the crane, the symbol of elegance. Saladino Design Studios crafted the space in a Zen-inspired manner. The gold-leaf ceiling, marble, outdoor greenery, and similar minute elements combine to create an authentic Japanese feel. Japón offers a modern take on traditional Japanese cuisine, from omakase sushi experiences to robata-grilled seafood and wagyu.
