Reno’s Old Granite Street Eatery Shuts Down
Located at 243 S. Sierra Street, Old Granite Street Eatery was known for its ‘neo-farm style’ and served a variety of delicious burgers. Menu items included the OG Veggie Burger, Revision Beer Cheese Burger, fish and chips, and a pulled pork sandwich.
In the Facebook post, the restaurant stated, “Old Granite Street Eatery has officially closed.”
The team extended a thank-you note and wrote, “We are deeply grateful for the years of support and the memories we’ve shared with this community. It has been an honor to serve you.”
Legacy of the Restaurant

The restaurant operated out of a building dating back to the 1940s. The building formerly housed Hinkel’s Cafe, a wedding chapel, and various offices. Old Granite Street Eatery opened in the space in 2010.
According to a Reno Gazette-Journal report, the restaurant was initially owned by Justin Owen and Ryan Gold. However, in 2019, the restaurant was sold to the current owners, Kevin and Kaya Stanley.
During the pandemic period, the restaurant shifted into a community market with a merger deal with Rounds Bakery. The venture operated under the name ‘Life Tastes Good.’ The partnership ended after a short while, and after rebranding, Old Granite Street Eatery continued its operations.
Over the years, the restaurant was listed as one of the city’s top dining establishments. It offered high-quality food and a welcoming atmosphere.
The team has not shared an official reason for the closure. The closure marks another change in downtown Reno’s dining scene.
