Iriana’s Pizza, located in downtown Little Rock, is preparing to permanently close. After 39 years of service, the beloved pizzeria will officially shutter on April 17, 2026. In a social media post, the restaurant invited the community to stop by for a final meal.
Iriana’s Pizza to Close After Nearly 40 Years in Little Rock
Originally owned by John and Shirley Iriana, Iriana’s Pizza started its journey in 1987. Known for its signature New York-style thin-crust pizza slices, the eatery has a strong fan base in Arkansas. The restaurant is now owned and operated by Nathan Tucker and his family.
In its closure announcement, the restaurant team shared, “After 39 incredible years, the downtown location of Iriana’s Pizza is closing its doors. April 17th will be the last day!”
The post noted that despite “changing times, an evolving downtown, and everything life throws at a small business,” the restaurant continued operating.
The team also extended a warm invitation to customers: “Go one more time. Grab a slice. Say thank you.”
The team behind the restaurant has not shared an official reason for its closing.
Community Reacts on Social Media

As the closure announcement was shared, several fans expressed their grief and appreciation for the restaurant and its long service.
One of the fans said, “Congratulations on an amazing 39 years, and thank you for being open on our wedding night 30 years ago this week! Without you, we would not have had dinner, and so for many years, you have been our anniversary tradition and will always be one of our favorite memories!”
“Iriana holds a very special place in my life and history. This is extremely sad and disappointing. But thank you for all the years, all the memories, and all the pizza,” added another customer.
With its final day approaching, Iriana’s Pizza hopes to see more fans and community members before saying goodbye. Although the pizzeria is closing, it will be dearly missed by the Arkansas community.
