The New Jersey-based ice-cream truck company Scream Truck is offering families on-demand treats at their doorsteps. Forget chasing the jingle—those days are gone.

Currently, Scream Truck’s reserved routes pass through selected New Jersey towns in Union, Essex, Somerset, Morris, Middlesex, and Bergen counties. More towns will be added to the routes soon, the company says on the official website.

How to Summon the Ice-Cream Trucks?

Scream Truck has designed an experience that is both convenient and familiar. The company has explained the steps that their customers need to take to have the ice cream trucks stop right in front of their homes.

Summoning the trucks to the door is a simple 3-step process, which is as follows:

  • Step 1: Customers must sign up on the official website and submit their details, including their home address. If their home address falls within the reserved route, they will be able to have the ice-cream trucks pass by.
  • Step 2: Scream Truck will send a text to the customer’s number an hour before the ice cream truck arrives in their neighborhood.
  • Step 3: Any customer who would like the truck to stop at their house can simply reply with a “Y” to say Yes! The customer will receive a link where they must pre-order (always required).

Once the order is placed, customers simply wait for the truck to arrive. Scream truck will send another text five minutes before it arrives at the door. Once it arrives, they can collect the ice cream from the truck and enjoy it!

Scream Truck will be serving a variety of ice creams and shakes through the ice cream trucks. Varieties of Sundaes, cones, and shakes, along with “Build Your Own” options, are available. Non-dairy and vegan options are available as well.

Pizza options include five varieties, from Hot Honey Pepperoni to Screamy Cheese. Check out the Scream Truck menu for details.

Scream Truck is a concept by entrepreneur Eric Murphy. The company also offers to serve at private events and open pop-ups.
