After bringing back Wedges and Wings, KFC is serving up another fan favorite. Due to popular demand, the Original Honey BBQ is returning to the menu. Customers can enjoy this fan-favorite starting October 6.
KFC Reinvents Favorites with Nostalgic Touch
First launched in the late 1990s, Original Honey BBQ quickly became a fan favorite for its sweet and smoky flavor. Its sweet and smoky flavor pairs perfectly with KFC chicken. Over the years, fans have requested its return, sharing recipes and memories online.
PRNewswire reports that KFC is bringing back the beloved sauce after years of fan requests. For the first time, the sauce is available on a wide range of menu items. It includes classic chicken pieces, the KFC Chicken Sandwich and tenders.
KFC was known for introducing a wet napkin for chicken lovers over 60 years ago. The brand was the first chain to offer a handy, moist towelette, says PRNewswire. With the Original Honey BBQ back on the menu, KFC is also upgrading its classic napkin to a larger, more convenient size.

Throwback Pricing: Classic Chicken Sandwich
Besides bringing back the iconic Original Honey BBQ, KFC is giving fans a nostalgic treat with its Chicken Sandwich for just $3.99. Even at the throwback price, the sandwich remains a hearty, satisfying option. Customers can choose from Classic or Spicy options.
Both are made with an Extra Crispy™ chicken breast filet on a toasted brioche bun. It is topped with pickles and the Colonel’s real or spicy mayo. KFC notes the Chicken Sandwich is generously portioned and available every Sunday.
The Countdown to Halloween: Scary Good Deals
KFC will be serving up “Scary Good Deals” exclusively just in time for Halloween. According to PRNewswire, rewards members can access the deals through the KFC app and website. For 13 days leading up to October 31, members can access special offers on fan-favorite menu items.
Offers include a free Classic Chicken Sandwich with a $10 purchase, 50% off a 12-piece chicken bucket, and 50 nuggets for $20. These deals are valid only for online orders.
With the return of Original Honey BBQ and nostalgic pricing, KFC is giving fans multiple reasons to celebrate this October.
