A Fast-Food Giant Is Planning Major Menu Changes This Year, Including New Sauces

McDonald’s is set to introduce Hot Honey Sauce, Hot Honey McCrispy, and other limited-time items in 2026.

McDonald’s is gearing up for a slate of menu updates this year, including new sauces and sandwiches. The company is set to introduce new items and sauces, including the Hot Honey Sauce and Hot Honey McCrispy. McDonald’s will also bring the Big Arch burger to the United States.

McDonald’s Introduces New Menu Offerings

American multinational fast-food chain McDonald’s is known for its burgers, fries, and fast, affordable meals that have made the brand a global staple. Founded in San Bernardino, California, in 1940, the brand has grown into one of the world’s most recognizable restaurant chains.

This year, McDonald’s is preparing several notable menu updates, including new launches and returning popular items expected to roll out across the United States, according to Snackolator.

McDonald’s new Hot Honey sauce is set to be launched across the nation on January 27. The new sweet-and-spicy sauce will debut along with the Hot Honey McCrispy, which was previously launched in Canada.

Additionally, customers will also be able to add Hot Honey sauce to breakfast sandwiches and order it as a dipping option for McCrispy Strips and Chicken McNuggets. The sauce is also expected to be available with the Snack Wrap, which recently returned to U.S. menus.

In early February, McDonald’s will bring back two seasonal favorites tied to St. Patrick’s Day celebrations: the Shamrock Shake and the Shamrock OREO McFlurry. The mint-flavored shake has been a limited-time staple for decades, and its annual return remains one of the company’s most recognizable promotions.

Apart from this, McDonald’s plans to introduce the Big Arch burger in the United States. The Big Arch is a larger-format burger that has already launched internationally and has been highly anticipated by U.S. customers.

According to the Snackolator social media post, the company is experimenting with new beverages under its CosMc’s brand, a concept focused on specialty drinks and flavored refreshers.

McDonald’s is also expanding its chicken portfolio through market tests, including bone-in McSpicy wings, seasoned and glazed McCrispy Strips, hand-breaded chicken options, and grilled chicken sandwiches.

All the new item lineups and updated menu of McDonald’s highlight a continued focus on innovation, global flavors, and customer favorites.
