Chipotle Mexican Grill is bringing back its annual Boorito celebration for Halloween, offering fans a festive twist on their favorite meals. The event includes $6 entrées for Rewards members, a nationwide costume contest, and prizes for the most creative participants.
Chipotle’s Iconic Halloween Tradition is Back
Chipotle Mexican Grill is bringing back its popular Boorito celebration in honor of its 25th Halloween anniversary. On October 31, Chipotle Rewards members visiting U.S. locations in costume from 3 p.m. to closing can receive a complimentary entrée by scanning their member ID at checkout.
In celebration of this milestone year, Chipotle is also reviving its fan-favorite Boorito Costume Contest, which allows an opportunity to win a VIP Card worth over $500 of free Chipotle.
Building on the brand’s viral 2020 TikTok challenge, fans can share their Halloween costumes on TikTok from October 27 to November 2. The entry is open to fans with their costume videos with the hashtag #BooritoCostumeContest, and a mix of spooky creativity. They can win exclusive Chipotle prizes.
“Boorito started as a simple way to bring people together on Halloween, and over 25 years it has grown to become the biggest annual celebration of our real fans and real food,” said Chris Brandt, President, Chief Brand Officer. “Boorito has long served as a runway for our guests to show off their creative costumes, so we’re leveraging TikTok to drive additional excitement and inspiration this year.”
Chip-or-Treat for Rewards Members
This Halloween season, Chipotle Rewards members are getting more than just burritos! Earlier this month, the brand reintroduced its festive member-only promotion, Chip-or-Treat. The promotion promises members fantastic deals and surprises throughout October.
With nearly 77% adults getting nostalgic over trick-or-treating, Chipotle is reconnecting its customers to that same feeling of youthful excitement by offering free guacamole, free chips, and bonus points.
This offer is available through Thursday, October 30. Chipotle Rewards members can Chip-or-Treat by ordering an entrée in the Chipotle app, website, or in-restaurant when their Rewards member ID is scanned. A few hours after purchase, participants receive a Chip-or-Treat email with a personalized offer, valid for five days.
Individuals are allowed to attend one time per week and will receive up to four treats and four thematic digital badges during October, which makes each Chipotle visit a bit more special this spooky season.
Extra Protein and $10 Off on Build-Your-Own Chipotle
Chipotle has launched Build-Your-Own Chipotle (BYOC), a customizable family meal available exclusively online, featuring fresh, real ingredients. The BYOC meal is made to serve four or six individuals and can be prepared in as little as 15 minutes, and gives all the supplies for customers to make their own burrito bowls, salads, tacos, or nachos to accompany Halloween parties, dorm hangouts, or family nights out.
Items included in the BYOC order and further details about all the offers and contests can be accessed here.
Guests will now have an opportunity to add 8 oz of protein (two servings) to their BYOC order, which means that they can mix and match between two protein choices.
During a short period, customers may cut their initial BYOC purchase by $10 with the code TRYBYOC through December 31, or until the 500,000 redemption is reached.
Chipotle Boorito spices up Halloween 2025 with discounted burritos and an opportunity to be at the VIP table. Chipotle Mexican Grill is focused on “cultivating a better world” through serving freshly prepared and responsibly sourced food using real ingredients and no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.
Chipotle is the only restaurant chain of its scale that wholly owns and manages all the restaurants within North America and Europe. The brand still dominates and innovates in the food business by developing new digital innovations, technology, and sustainability programs.
