Popular Pizza Chain Will Open Its First Store in North Pole This Month

Domino’s is kicking off the season with the opening of its first store in North Pole, Alaska. The new location at North Pole, 320 N. Santa Claus Lane in Alaska is part of a small, holiday-themed community. The area is known for its year-round Christmas attractions. The new location brings pizza and year-round holiday spirit to the community. The local store franchisee is hosting a series of community events.

Domino’s Debuts in North Pole

Domino’s is opening its first location in North Pole, Alaska on December 20. Franchise owner Bryan Dobb is marking the opening with a month of community events for local residents. The North Pole community sits about 20 minutes south of Fairbanks, Alaska. Popular attractions include the Chena Lake Recreation Area, Santa Claus House, and the North Pole Post Office.

According to Dobb, the team is happy to bring the brand’s signature menu to an area not saturated with restaurants. He stated, “We noticed there’s a demand for more pizza in the area, so we’re excited to offer a delicious assortment of toppings, sauces, and crusts to our customers, as we have something for everyone to enjoy. We’re excited to bring even more cheer to the area through the magic of pizza.”

The North Pole location features Domino’s modern pizza theater layout, where the customers can see their orders being made through to the end. For added convenience, the store also includes a pickup window for easy carryout service.

Grand Opening

Both the Domino’s at North Pole and Fairbanks locations have been hosting a holiday food drive from December 1 which will last till December 20. Guests are welcome to drop off nonperishable goods in collection bins located in front of each store.

Any donations will go to the Fairbanks Community Food Bank and assist families in the Tanana Valley during the hectic holiday season. Dobb said the goal is not only to serve great pizza but also to support the neighborhoods they are part of.

Celebratory Events

The celebrations end with a grand opening party on December 20. The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, kids’ games, festive face painting, and other surprises. Domino’s will also sell medium one-topping pizzas at a discounted price of $5 each when a customer makes an order using the code ELF.

Along with its grand-opening events, Domino’s is also expanding its North Pole team. It is recruiting delivery people, customer service representatives, assistant managers, and pizza makers as it gears up for the busy season.

Established in 1960, Domino’s has become the biggest pizzeria company in the world, with over 21,700 stores that are located in over 90 countries. Much of its success in the U.S. is associated with digital ordering, and most retail sales are based on online platforms.
