Subway, a leading fast-food chain, has announced a limited-time deal to mark National Meatball Day. The promotion lets customers upgrade any six-inch sub to a footlong for free. The chain also plans to serve 1 million meatballs in a single day. The one-day offer will be available on March 9 at participating restaurants across the United States.
Subway Launches One-Day Free Footlong Upgrade
Subway is an American quick-service restaurant chain with a large global following. The brand operates thousands of locations worldwide and is known for its submarine sandwiches, salads, and wraps.
The sandwich chain is celebrating National Meatball Day with special limited-time deals. According to a PR Newswire report, the brand is offering a six-inch Meatball Sub through the Sub of the Day or Meal of the Day offer, and can upgrade it to a footlong at no extra cost.
The deal is only available for in-store orders. The promotions are also part of the brand’s regular “Meatball Monday” special.
In the report, Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer, North America, shared, “We need your help to make March 9 the world’s first Million Meatball Monday and to sell more meatballs than every Scandinavian furniture company combined.”
Offer Available Through Sub of the Day and Meal Deals
With the Sub of the Day program, customers can usually buy a six-inch sandwich starting at about $4.99, depending on location.
On March 9, that order can be upgraded to a footlong for free under the promotion.
The chain’s Meal of the Day option typically includes a six-inch sub, a choice of chips or two cookies, and a small fountain drink starting at about $6.99. Customers who order the meal with a meatball sub can also request the free footlong upgrade.
The promotion is limited to one order per customer and cannot be combined with other offers.
The one-day offer gives customers a chance to enjoy the chain’s popular Meatball Sub at a lower price while celebrating National Meatball Day.
