Oreo, one of the world’s best-selling cookie brands, is preparing to roll out its first U.S. sugar-free cookies. The anticipated ‘Zero Sugar’ cookie arrives just in time to keep health and wellness goals in check in 2026.
Oreo’s Zero Sugar Cookies Arrive This New Year
Oreo fans in the U.S. will get their first sugar-free version starting January 2026. The new lineup will include both Original and Double Stuf varieties when it hits shelves next month.
What’s Inside the New Zero Sugar Cookie
Despite zero sugar, Oreo fans can relish the brand’s classic sweet taste with substitutes that were developed for over four years.
According to Instagram food content creator ‘snachwithzach,’ these ingredients include maltitol, acesulfame potassium, sucralose, and polydextrose. Zero Sugar cookies do not contain aspartame.
It should be noted that while each cookie is composed of about 45 calories, which is a little less than the normal Oreo cookies, some ingredients may raise blood sugar levels. This is why buyers should look for correct health advice before tasting the latest cookie, ‘snachwithzach’ adds.
Other ingredients include unbleached enriched flour, canola oil, palm oil, cornstarch, and additional standard Oreo components.
While there is still time before the sweet treat officially launches, fans have been quick to share their reactions under the latest Instagram post by ‘snachwithzach.’
A user wrote, “Can’t wait to try them, I just hope that they are around the same price as the regular.” Another fan wrote, “As a Type 1 diabetic, this makes me happy I can have Oreos again!”
