Denny’s Stylish Celebration of National Maple Syrup Day
According to Globenewswire, Denny’s is leaning into streetwear culture to celebrate National Maple Syrup Day, December 17, 2025. The company is taking its signature syrup theme into the world of streetwear.
Denny’s is launching Sticky Kicks, a limited-edition high-top sneaker in collaboration with footwear designer Mache, loaded with real Denny’s syrup. Meant to celebrate the syrupy sweetness associated with the brand’s Grand Slam meals, the release continues Denny’s push to blend diner nostalgia with modern pop culture.
Ellie Doty, senior vice president and chief brand officer, Denny’s, stated that the syrup is the core of the brand’s identity. “Sticky Kicks are impractical, unnecessary, and completely over the top, which is exactly why we love them,” Doty said. “At Denny’s, syrup isn’t just something we serve. It’s part of who we are. It’s our golden thread. So, it only makes sense we’d be the first to turn it into fashion.”
Design of the Sticky Kicks and Ways to Snag a Pair
Shoe designer Dan Gamache, better known as Mache, is the actual mastermind behind the unique shoe design. The Sticky Kicks have a transparent, sealed panel in each pair that displays real Denny’s syrup.
The shoes feature syrup-inspired patent leather, yellow accents, and an embossed Denny’s logo for a bold, playful look.
Talking about the story behind the sole, Mache said, “Creating Sticky Kicks is just the right amount of crazy and weird for my team and me, and we’ve loved every second of it. Though it had its sticky moments, creating the ultimate collector’s shoe is something I’m so proud of.”
Sticky Kicks will be officially launched on National Maple Syrup Day at 12 p.m. EST exclusively at DinerDrip.com. Produced in limited quantities, the sneakers are expected to sell out quickly. Rewards members at Denny’s will have first access, with a special code to access the site and place an order an hour before the rest of the people.
