Discounts Plus Announces Closure

On December 15, liquidation retailer Discounts Plus surprised everyone with news of its closure. The closure includes both Oregon stores. After serving the Oregon community for 14 years, this closure marks the end of an era.

Discounts Plus operates as a retail and wholesale outlet focused on deeply discounted merchandise. Its inventory is sourced from major department stores, grocery chains, catalogue companies, manufacturers, warehouse clubs, and online retailers. Providing everything that customers need, it has been a beloved store for many over the years.

The retailer will close its locations in Gresham and The Dalles, Oregon.

“After 14 incredible years, we are closing our doors,” reads the post shared on social media. “This journey has been filled with countless memories, friendships, and the joy of serving our community.”

Heartfelt Message Shared with the Community

For 14 years, the stores have made countless memories with locals, be they customers, staff, or neighbors. The business credited community support for sustaining operations over the years. Now, in its final post to the community, Discounts Plus shares its love for them.

“We want to sincerely thank each and every one of you — our loyal customers, dedicated staff, and supportive neighbors — for being part of our story,” reads the post. “Your encouragement and patronage have meant the world to us. Though this chapter is ending, the gratitude we feel will last forever. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives.”

This closure is going to be especially felt by families that have been supported by the stores. The liquidation center offered them the best discounts, which helped in times of need. With this closure, the local communities are sure to be left with a big gap.
