Recent social media posts and viral videos have prompted uncertainty about the future of Crumbl Cookies, with many assuming that the business is about to close entirely. The CEO and co-founder of Crumbl had to step up to bust all the rumors, clarifying that the company is taking some expansion initiatives and not closing down.

Crumbl CEO Clarified the Rumors of Closure

Crumbl CEO Sawyer Hemsley recently posted updates about the brand, clarifying all that was floating on the Internet about the brand going down. In a short video, he mentioned, “We’re moving office spaces”!

The brand is working on expanding the space to offer more space for the test kitchen and creative teams. The old space could not accommodate the collaborative work of teams, and it was necessary to be thoughtful about the growth.

Hemsley also emphasized that the brand still focuses on the mission of bringing everyone together over a box of dessert, and the steps are just a beginning towards the bright future of Crumbl.

He quoted, “We’re still opening new stores every month and staying focused on what matters most. I’m incredibly grateful for our partners, our teams, and every customer who continues to support this brand. You’re the reason we get to keep showing up, baking, building, and dreaming. THANK YOU! Our mission hasn’t changed: bringing family and friends together over the best box of desserts in the world. The future feels really bright, and honestly, we’re just getting started”.

Online Speculations Around Crumbl’s Shutdown

Much of the internet discussion stems from social media posts and short-form video content suggesting Crumbl is “shutting down,” often without clear sourcing. Bloomberg also reported in November that Crumbl had laid off employees, and its revenues are plummeting.

Similarly, many news and social media handles reaped public attention with such headlines, though none had true clarity. This compelled the CEO to come forward and give a public clarification.

No credible news of closure and confirmation by the leaders ensures the constant Crumbl cookies to people. The case shows how rumors can make or break the situation for any company.
