Bella Tuscany Seeks Bankruptcy Protection
According to the official filing, on November 6, the Italian establishment filed for bankruptcy under the name Bella Tuscany Windermere Inc.
Further details through case number ‘6:25-bk-07204-GER’ show that the Windermere-based restaurant is a small business debtor. As a result, Bella Tuscany is proceeding with a Subchapter V reorganization under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.
The filing reveals that Bella Tuscany’s total assets range from $100,001 to $500,000. Whereas, the Italian restaurant business’s liabilities are between $1,000,001 and $10 million.
The filing indicates that Bella Tuscany owes 49 unsecured creditors. Florida Department of Revenue (Orlando Service Center), Toast Capital LLC, Unifirst Corporation (Orlando), and Forward Financing LLC (Boston) are among its 20 largest creditors.
Attorney Daniel A. Velasquez of Latham, Luna, Eden & Beaudine LLP is representing the restaurant in bankruptcy court.
Carlos Sciortino is the authorized representative of Bella Tuscany Windermere Inc., the petition says. The filing adds that Lourdes G. Sciortino is the 100% equity holder and president of the Windermere-based establishment.
The Windermere-based Italian establishment began its food services back in 2012. Based at 13424 Summerport Village Pkwy, Bella Tuscany offers patrons a wide variety of Italian dishes.
The restaurant filed for bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, where its principal place of business is located.
