A Larchmont, New York-based family-style dining restaurant has filed for bankruptcy amid rising food costs and declining customer spending. Augie’s Italian Restaurant Corp. is seeking to reorganize its finances through the process as a “small business debtor.”

The Italian restaurant has turned to bankruptcy six months after marking its 35 years of operations Larchmont. According to the court records shown on PACER, Augie’s Italian Restaurant Corp. voluntarily submitted its Chapter 11 petition on March 16, 2026.

Case filings note that the restaurant company has been classified as a small business debtor under 11 U.S.C. § 101(51D). The process is currently in progress in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Court records add that attorney H. Bruce Bronson of Bronson Law Offices, P.C. is legally representing the company in the Chapter 11 case.

Company Background

The family-style food establishment has been offering a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes. Many menu items at Augie’s Italian Restaurant Corp. are based on recipes passed down through generations. Some of the menu items include penne alla vodka and tortellini Toscana, zuppa de pesce, pizzas, sandwiches, and salads.
