According to the latest court records on PACER, JIB Foods Inc. has filed for Chapter 11 under Subchapter V. The company, which operates as Pete’s Restaurant & Brewhouse in Sacramento, submitted its petition on February 4 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California.
JIB Foods Inc. has been defined as a small business debtor as per 11 U.S.C. § 101(51D). Court filings add that its aggregate noncontingent liquidated debts fall under $3,424,000. This amount excludes debts owed to insiders or affiliates of the brewhouse and will be changed on April 1, 2028, and every three years after that.

Company Background
Since the 1980s, Pete’s Restaurant & Brewhouse has served Sacramento diners a wide range of comfort food, along with cocktails and other beverages. The brand has built a loyal following for its neighborhood feel and made-from-scratch menu offerings across multiple locations.
The food establishment originally began operations as a small pizza shop at the corner of 1st and 20th. Over the years, the brand expanded its menu and grew to multiple locations across Northern California.
As of now, the flagship outlet of Pete’s is based in Arden and spans more than 10,000 sq. ft. inside. The location also has a 2,500 sq. ft. patio.
While Pete’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is undergoing the Chapter 11 proceedings, its operations are set to continue as usual. The restaurant continues to draw diners to its locations throughout Northern California, including its flagship Arden restaurant. This includes Redding, Rocklin, Yuba City, Granite Bay, and El Dorado Hills.

The first day filings by the Sacramento-based restaurant and brewhouse on February 4 included a statement of corporate ownership, a unanimous consent resolution of the board of directors, and a disclosure of attorney compensation. A list of creditors with the 20 largest unsecured claims and who are not insiders was also submitted.
The court records state that on February 5, the attorney paid a fee of $1,738 on behalf of JIB Foods Inc. d/b/a Pete’s Restaurant & Brewhouse.
The restaurant’s deadline for incomplete filings, including the statement of financial affairs, summary of assets and liabilities, and list of equity security holders, is February 18. Schedules A/B, D, E/F, G, and H are due by the same day, court filings show.
The outcome of the restructuring will largely depend on the company’s ability to meet court deadlines and reach agreements with creditors.
