Nevada Construction Firm Moves to Restructure Under Chapter 11

Koinonia Construction Inc. has officially turned to bankruptcy. The Elko, Nevada-based construction company is known for its roofing and siding services.

Court filings show the company filed for Chapter 11 after accruing more than 100 creditors. Operations are expected to continue as normal through the process while the court oversees the developments.

Koinonia Construction Inc. Enters Bankruptcy

As per the latest case filings available on the PACER database, the company voluntarily submitted its petition on April 3, 2026. Luke Fitzgerald, the authorized representative who is also the company president, signed the petition before its submission.

Attorney Stephen R. Harris of Harris Law Practice LLC is offering legal representation to the company.

Proceedings are being handled by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada, case filings add.

Filings Made So Far

According to RK Consultants, Koinonia Construction Inc. currently has between 100 and 199 creditors. Court filings indicate that funds will be available for distribution to the unsecured creditors.

The company submitted a list of creditors who have the 20 largest unsecured claims and are not insiders. The US Small Business Administration SBA Disaster Loan Service Center has the largest claim of more than $2 million. Other names on the list are 1st Source Bank, Capital One, Home Depot Credit Services, and Quality Truss & Lumber.
