Lil’ Turtles is voluntarily recalling all lots of Tomato Basil Soup by its brand Grandma Belle’s. The recall was triggered after the company discovered the soup label failed to list milk, a serious risk for anyone with a milk allergy.
Why Grandma Belle’s Tomato Basil Soup Has Been Recalled
Founded in 2012, Lil’ Turtles is a family-owned and operated manufacturer and distributor of specialty foods and confectionery with an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship. Specialty chocolates, nut clusters, caramels, fudge, and other sweets are usually enjoyed the most by the customers. Apart from this, one can also shop for personal care products, candies, and canned food items.
Lil’ Turtles issued a recall for misbranding of Grandma Belle’s Tomato Basil Soup on December 5, 2025, due to the non-declaration of a milk allergen. The problem came to light during a routine inspection by the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
Individuals with milk sensitivity or allergy are at potential risk of illness; therefore, the FDA issued a public awareness notice about the recall on December 9, 2025. Fortunately, no cases of illness have been reported to date.
