Popular American-Made Retailer Temporarily Closing Its Doors

Made in America Store is ready to undergo a strategic reset with plans to sell its building in Elma and begin a store-level liquidation. The popular retailer will temporarily stop its online shop during the transition and hold a liquidation sale.

Made in America Store Plans Reset as Elma Location Prepares to Close

​In its official press release, Made in America Store expressed gratitude to the local community in Elma as it prepares for the sale of the building housing the store. The store, located about 20 minutes southeast of Buffalo, first opened on April 3, 2010.

​“Our store has been a labor of love for our family and a source of pride for our community, and we are deeply grateful for the unwavering support we have received over the years,” the press release said.​

Despite the sale of the Elma building, the store’s name, legacy, and mission are expected to remain unchanged. The company plans to pursue a restructuring that would allow it to reopen at a new location to continue offering American-made products.

Online Shop to Pause Temporarily​

The latest development at the Made in America Store will also be marked by the retail store starting a liquidation sale. Online shopping at the much-loved retailer will temporarily stop on January 29, 2026. During the sale, shoppers can save nearly 20% on American-made products.

According to the company, the online shop could resume once a new location is secured.

Mark Andol established the retail store in Elma, New York back in 2010 with plans to create and save American jobs. The store has focused on that mission by selling 100% American-made products.

Made in America Store has grown to become a popular retailer by expanding its presence from a single brick-and-mortar location to a broader presence across both physical retail and online platforms.

The store also honors veterans and active-duty military, offers a hospitality experience for visitors, and promotes American craftsmanship.​

While the Elma location is set to close, the company says it remains focused on reopening and continuing its mission of supporting American-made goods.
