Charter Communications is preparing to implement layoffs at its Appleton, Wisconsin-based facility this May. The decision is being planned as part of its larger effort to permanently cease operations at the facility.
Charter Communications To Lay Off 313 Employees This May
In a WARN notice shared on March 18, 2026, the company stated that it will shut down its facility located at 3520 Destination Drive in Calumet County. Charter Communications filed the notice with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
Revealing more information, the company said that this closure will be a permanent one. Plus, in connection with this move, a total of 313 employees will be laid off at the Appleton, Wisconsin-based facility. The layoffs will begin on May 21, 2026.

Filing details note that the company does not have any employees who are represented by a Union at the facility. In addition, it does not allow ‘bumping rights,’ which stops employees from displacing fellow employees based on seniority or other factors.
