ServeStar LLC sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy relief on February 17. The Benton, Tennessee-based plumbing company plans to restructure its debts through the court-supervised process. Operations are expected to continue during the Chapter 11 proceedings.

ServeStar LLC Enters Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

ServeStar LLC made a voluntary Chapter 11 filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the latest details on PACER state. Along with submitting a four-page petition on February 17, the plumbing company filed several first-day motions to maintain normal business operations during the restructuring process.

Filing details show that Aaron Miller, the CEO of ServeStar LLC, signed the petition as its authorized representative. Attorney Roy Michael Roman of RMR Legal PLLC is representing the Benton, Tennessee-based company in court.

Company Background

ServeStar LLC has been providing a range of plumbing services to residential and commercial clients for more than seven years. Its operations span 25-plus markets across Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, and Florida.

Some of the services offered by ServeStar LLC include water heater services, fixture installation services, gas line replacement and repairs, equipment rentals, backflow testing and repair, drain cleaning, and lift station maintenance and repair.

Filings So Far

As shown in the petition, the first-day filings on February 17 included a corporate ownership statement and a list of equity security holders. Attorney Roy Michael Roman, on behalf of ServeStar LLC, submitted a declaration on the same day.

On February 18, the plumbing company submitted several motions related to continued cash management, utilities, payment of wages, and use of cash collateral. Filing details show that a hearing for these motions took place on February 20. The details then state that a creditors meeting will take place on March 26.

On February 20, the court listed the hearing dates for requests regarding different motions.

Other than these, ServeStar LLC was asked to submit its current monthly income Form 122B by March 3. Schedules A/B, C, D, E/F, G, and H must be filed by the same date. The deadline for statement of financial affairs, summary of assets and liabilities, and incomplete filings is March 3 as well.

The Government Proof of Claim is due for ServeStar LLC by August 17, court records state.

The end result of ServeStar LLC’s bankruptcy process will depend on its ability to manage creditor obligations and present an appropriate reorganization plan in the coming months.
