Orlando is getting a family-friendly place to chill and refresh when Archie’s Cafe & Play Center opens.

The combination coffee shop and kids’ fun spot will open at 11764 E. Colonial Drive by the middle of January 2026, according to owner, Archie Askie.

Askie, who is opening the spot with wife, Caroline, tells What Now Orlando the idea for the cafe came out of a need for a place where families could learn and have fun together. “I have two boys, and I wanted to create a space that’s community focused.”

The 5,000 square foot open area will allow for parents to watch their kids play and learn while they enjoy delicious coffee drinks and light bites. The play area, suitable for kids from infant to 12 years old, will offer activities to engage both mind and body with climbing areas, trampolines, dance parties, science exhibits, crafts, and educational play. The space will have rotating exhibits and special events, so kids will have something new to experience on a regular basis.

The cafe will offer coffee drinks, with a menu of lattes, teas, iced coffees, and more for grownups. Family-friendly items include ice cream, smoothies, fruit bowls, and slushie will be available, as well.

Families can purchase individual session tickets, and memberships area available for the play/learning space, and all are welcome.
