Due to the pandemic, the former MidiCi Pizza restaurant space at Maitland City Centre has been vacant since 2021, but the location will soon see a new tenet. Influenced by Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, Athen’s Pizza, a food operator with 30 years of experience, is set to open their first US location.
Since 1992, Athen’s Pizza has been revolutionizing the culinary experience of artisanal pizza by providing a unique and robust combinations of flavors to customers. Their primary focus and passion are to ensure the utilization of the high-quality ingredients throughout their dishes.
It comes as no surprise the core product offered is pizza. However, Athen’s Pizza has a variety of other delectable dishes, including: appetizers, salads, gyros, pitas and open pitas. Whether celebrating a special event, needing for a quick lunch while working or simply grabbing pizza and beer or wine with friends, Athen’s Pizza caters to all and offers items for every occasion.
They recently executed a lease for 3,030 square feet at 171 S Orlando Ave. The site was strategically selected to spearhead the brand’s planned US expansion, and they will neighbor eateries like: Boku Sushi & Grill, Sanford Brewing Company and McDonald’s.
The brand is slated to open between November and February, and they will employ approximately thirteen people.
