Burger King’s Sizzle concept is coming to Kissimmee.
A pre-application meeting approved plans for the construction of a 2,950 square foot Burger King Sizzle and associated infrastructure improvements at W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. The Orlando Business Journal reports the restaurant is part of a, “multimillion-dollar modernization effort that aims to transform the guest experience at hundreds of locations across the country by 2028”.
Nation’s Restaurant News reported that the Sizzle concepts are built in 40-, 60-, and 80- seat formats, with guests greeted with touchscreen ordering stations. Restaurants and drive-thru areas are modernized and sleek, with Tom Curtis, president of Burger King North America, calling the design, “very warm and inviting”. The Sizzle brand is part of Burger King’s larger “Reclaim the Flame” initiative to boost sales and modernize the brand.
Primarily, the menu at a Burger King Sizzle is similar to your neighborhood Burger King, although there are some upgrades, such as the option to cut your sandwich in half and some premium items are offered such as a Bacon Steakhouse Whopper and jalapeno bites.
Though the Sizzle concept is new, there are several across the country, including Miami. Burger enthusiast Burger Beast described his experience at a local Burger King Sizzle as having a “better atmosphere, fresher food, and fries that actually tasted crisp”, when compared to a typical Burger King location.
