The growing Tex-Mex brand Capital Tacos has plans to open a Lady Lake location, according to a recent report in QSR. The report does not specify an address, but adds that the restaurant will also be opening a location in Ocala.

The report states “With more plans to grow within the restaurant chain’s home state in the Orlando area, Kerr’s three-unit deal will greatly contribute to saturating the Central Florida market in the territories of Clermont, Ocala, and Lady Lake to ensure the entirety of the region has access to the Capital Tacos menu.”

What Now Orlando briefly reached out to franchisee Jim Kerr to ask for pertinent information about the planned Lady Lake location. In response, Mr. Kerr simply stated that it will be “another year out” until it opens. Mr. Kerr did not provide additional detail.

Capital Tacos features a robust Tex-Mex menu with notable American and interior Mexican influences. As an appetizer, customers may have their queso with either chips or fries, or hand-shucked, grilled corn seasoned with chili and cheese. In the way of main dishes, the chain offers the classic selection of burritos, tacos, and salads, featuring unique fillings such as fried avocado, tiger shrimp, and homemade chorizo. For dessert, customers can order churros and Mexican cheesecake.

Until the Lady Lake location opens its doors sometime in 2024, taco-lovers can have the Capital Tacos experience at 18 N Dollins Ave in Orlando, or at any other of its locations in Florida, Atlanta, or Charlotte, NC.
