Caribou Coffee, the growing franchise coffeehouse, will soon start an aggressive expansion throughout Central Florida and other regions of the state, according to the Orlando Business Journal. The expansion will be spearheaded by Covelli Enterprises, the nation’s largest Panera Bread franchisee.

“We believe Caribou Coffee will be a great complement to Florida’s diverse and growing economy, especially in a booming city like Orlando.” CEO Sam Covelli told Orlando Business Journal.

According to the report, Sam will be running the upcoming Caribou stores alongside his three children, Candace, Albert and Danielle, planning to open 100 Caribou Coffee locations in “Ohio, western Pennsylvania and Florida, including in Orlando.”

The report adds that Covelli is “in the first stages of looking at local real estate and has not set a timetable to open its first Caribou Coffee locations yet.”

What Now Orlando reached out to company representatives to inquire about potential locations and opening dates, but did not receive comment by time of publication.
