Chicken Salad Chick, the restaurant that specializes in made from scratch chicken salad sandwiches and more, is eyeing Central Florida.
The company has entered into franchise agreements that would expand the fast casual chain’s presence in the Sunshine State, reports QSR Magazine.
South Carolina-based The Foundry Group has inked a deal to bring several new Chicken Salad Chick restaurants to Central Florida. A LinkedIn post by Chicken Salad Chick confirms the news, adding that The Foundry Group will also bring several restaurants to Fort Lauderdale in southeastern Florida, as well, bringing the total number of locations by the Foundry Group to 12.
The seasoned franchise group has a number of brands under its umbrella in addition to Chicken Salad Chick including Cafe Strudel, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Ember, and the Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli.
Chicken Salad Chick will also expand along Florida’s west and east coasts through similar deals. At this time, no exact locations have been announced.
Founded in 2008 by Stacy and Kevin Brown in Auburn, Alabama, Chicken Salad Chick bills itself as the nation’s only fast-casual restaurant concept dedicated exclusively to fresh made chicken salad. Chicken Salad Chick offers more than a dozen different chicken salads — each named after a “real-life chick” in co=founder Stacy Brown’s life as an homage to these women. Guests can chose their favorite chicken salad in a sandwich, on a platter, or as a to-go “quick chick”. The restaurant also offers pimento cheese, egg salad, soups, salads, and more.
Today, there are more than 300 Chicken Salad Chicks in 22 states, with plans for continued growth in the Southeast and the Midwest.
