According to a press release on Tuesday, Chicken Salad Chick just signed a deal to develop five new locations in Florida, with one coming to Ocala to 4720 SW College Road.
Chicken Salad Chick was started by Stacy Brown, a stay-at-home mom who wanted to perfect her chicken salad recipe. “Once Stacy had the chicken salad that made her family and friends say “mmm, yes ma’am,”” according to their website, “she started dropping off samples of her creation in teachers’ lounges and hair salons, and then began selling door-to-door.”
Not so long after, Chicken Salad Chick became the nation’s only fast casual chicken salad brand with 179 restaurants across the U.S.
