Credo Downtown, the popular locally-owned coffee shop, is approaching a pair of significant changes in 2023, according to recent reportage in The Orlando Business Journal.
Ben Hoyer, the owner of Credo, told The Business Journal that the brand’s Health Village lease was up and that “AdventHealth had other plans for the space.” Fortunately, workers “will be able to relocate to its two other locations at 885 N Orange Avenue and its YMCA location at 433 N Mills Avenue.”
In addition to this major move, Credo will be introducing a food program at its North Quarter downtown shop by the end of summer.
“We have been working out a food program we are really proud of and excited to bring it to that venue,” Hoyer stated, signaling a major shift for Credo who has typically sold espresso-based drinks, tea, and a small assortment of baked goods.
“We’ve served coffee to thousands of people, given coffee away to nurses working on the frontline through the pandemic, hosted parties, and launched non-profits and co-working communities all out of our cafe here on Rollins St.,” Credo said on its Instagram page. “Running a shop in Health Village has been a blast, so it’s bittersweet to announce that July will be our last month in this space.”
No details have yet been announced the North Quarter food program.
