Culver’s the Wisconsin-based fast food restaurant that offers a touch of Midwest flavor and hospitality in every bite of its ButterBurgers, is opening a restaurant at 4611 N. Wickham Road.

RL Wickham Road, LLC filed permits with the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation for a new construction of the restaurant. No timeline for an opening has yet been announced.

The first Culver’s opened in 1984 in Sauk City, Wisconsin by Craig and Lea Culver and Craig’s parents, George and Ruth with a goal of offering value-driven food made with quality, Wisconsin ingredients.

There are now more than 1,000 Culver’s across 26 states, but even with growth, the company values haven’t changed. Culver’s still uses fresh, never-frozen beef and family-farm fresh Wisconsin dairy. Items — like its famous ButterBurgers and cheese curds — are cooked to order. Custards are made fresh daily, as well. The fast food chain also stands out hospitality-wise with employees taking customers’ orders to their tables, and even hand delivering items in the drive-thru.

Culver’s continues to expand its presence steadily, with QSR reporting an average growth of about 50 stores a year in 2024 and 2025. In 2026, Culver’s expects to open locations in Arizona, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Texas in addition to growing its footprint in its current markets.
