Delmonico’s Italian Steakhouse, the New York Italian-American steakhouse that’s been serving guests prime beef and cocktails since 1998, is opening a second Orlando restaurant.
The Orlando Business Journal reports that the restaurant has taken over the former Macaroni Grill space at 12148 S. Apopka-Vineland Road, with the expectation of opening in late Spring of this year, with Delmonico’s Restaurant Group investing $5 million into the project.
Delmonico’s opened its first restaurant in Syracuse, New York as the answer to search for a perfectly cooked steak paired with some red sauce classics. Delmonico’s offers the two most loved cuisines — steakhouse and Italian — under one roof. The restaurant’s specialty is the 24-ounce Certified Angus Delmonico steak made from Midwestern grain-fed heavy-aged beef. The steak is served with penne marinara. The restaurant also offers Italian favorites such as veal parmigiana, chicken Sinatra, a one-pound lasagna, shrimp scampi, linguini with clam sauce, and more. Delmonico’s also offers a dedicated gluten-free menu, and can provide vegan and vegetarian options for guests desiring plant-based alternatives.
Currently, there are five Delmonico’s in New York State and one in Orlando. The newest location will offer a similar menu and decor which features characters of celebrities by local Syracuse artist J.P. Crangle. When it opens, the 9,000 square foot restaurant will seat about 250 guests.
