Sisters Beatriz and Daniela Oruna struggled to find fast, nutritious meal options to feed their families when they were on the go that didn’t also break the bank.
“My sister and I work and have kids,” said Beatriz Oruna. “We were always feeling guilty about either feeding them fast food or spending $40-$50 to feed them. We were looking for things like rice and chicken or macaroni and cheese with pork.”
Their solution is Bitebound, which comes from the idea that whether eastbound or westbound, customers can find a bite to eat at Bitebound.
The 1,412 square-foot Winter Park restaurant will open at 1100 S. Orlando Avenue in December 2021. Oruna said they have plans to open 8-10 additional Florida locations over the next two years. Winter Park will be their flagship store, with another location opening in Tampa in Summer 2022.
Serving food bowls that include a base, protein (vegan options available), and toppings, Bitebound will focus on fresh, healthy meal options that are family-friendly and affordable.
