Modern vibes and fine coffee, teas, and pastries are coming to Winter Park in the form of Light On The Sugar. The local, family-owned bakery announced its plans to open a second location of the concept, following the recent opening of sister bakery Sugar Dough Bake House. Light On The Sugar is headed to 501 Orlando Ave in Winter Park and bringing with it mouth-watering confections.

“Although we serve a variety of drinks, our main focus is on our pastries,” shares the company’s website. “We bake everything in house daily creating French goods with Asian inspired flavors such as Matcha, Ube, Taro, Black Sesame and many more.”

Just yesterday, the bakery announced its expansion plans across social media channels: “We are very excited and humbled to finally share with you Light On The Sugar #2!,” announced the post. “The new shop will feature a charming, modern vibe with alot more dining space, and an outdoor patio.” Speaking with What Now Orlando, owner Yixi Qiu said the new location will likely open at the end of November, after Thanksgiving.

Light On the Sugar Winter Park will bring even more choice than the original bakery, including cream-filled doughnuts. Qiu shared that the new location is in a great spot, super central and located in a busy plaza with lots of foot traffic.
