Famous Toastery Planning Significant Central Florida Expansion

The growing North Carolina-based breakfast chain Famous Toastery is planning to grow significantly in Central Florida over the next few years, according to a recent report by Orlando Business Journal

The report states that Famous Toastery has sights especially set on Winter Park, Hunters Creek, the Disney area and near the Orlando International Airport, according to Eric Gustaffon who serves the company as vice president of franchise development. Mr. Gustaffon states in the report that the goal is to develop 25 units by the end of 2024, with ambitions for up to 80 locations across Florida over the decade. 

For those unfamiliar with the brand, Famous Toastery serves breakfast and lunch from early morning into the afternoon, offering classic diner items such as eggs, omelets, flapjacks, French Toast, waffles, benedicts, burritos, quesadillas, huevos rancheros, breakfast pizza, biscuits and gravy, avocado toast among others. 

As of now, the growing brand boasts 25 locations in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, and is actively searching for franchisees in the Sunshine State. Requirements for franchisees include $250,000 liquidity for one unit, a $45,000 franchise fee and a minimum net worth of $500,000.

What Now Orlando reached out to Joe Gillie, VP of Operations, for further detail about their plans to expand in Florida, but he was not immediately available for comment.
