FBRest’s cocktail bar & dining concept Whiskey Cakes is eyeing a Central Florida location, according to a recent interview with Jeff Carcara, CEO of Sixty Vines.

“We’re hoping to [open a new FBRest concept in the area]. We have a Whiskey Cake in Tampa and we’re opening one in Jacksonville. I think it would work here. Whiskey Cake has one of the largest selections of bourbons and whiskeys out there,” Carcara told OBJ

“It has a scratch kitchen and we try to take advantage of local and farm-to-table ingredients. We’ll have our chefs come and look at the nearby farms and other local products. There are no freezers in the restaurant.”

The official website states “we’re serving up tasty farm-to-kitchen dishes & cocktails out of our from-scratch-only kitchen and bar. Microwave? Never heard of it. We use slow-cooking methods on our live-wood grill, smoker, and spit because food just tastes better that way.”

No potential addresses or opening dates have been announced.
