The team that operated the former Joysticks Arcade Lounge has been restructured upon the departure of one of the previous owners. Addie Morrone, the remaining owner, is now joined by her husband James, and the couple comprises the group behind Bar None Creations Florida and the three new concepts. We first heard of this story from Bungalower, here.

The first restaurant has been formally announced as 1-Up Orlando and described by James Morrone as “Joysticks on steroids.” Patrons can expect to see newer machines and a theme that encapsulates the 80’s and the 90’s. There will also be a kitchen and a food menu, which Joysticks lacked. It is expected to open in May 2022.

Although on paper, the new location, which will appear at 25 W Church Street, will be the same square footage as the last. Morrone says that the new space will feel larger because the previous location had several areas that were inaccessible to the public. The updated concept will be much more open, Morrone reports. They are currently amidst building out the inside and getting the equipment situated.

The second concept will be called “highT,” and is inspired by Alice in Wonderland. According to Morrone, they will serve tea during the day, and at night, the bar will take on a speakeasy theme. According to their website, the bar will open in June, and it will appear nearby at 23 W Church St

The third location has an unknown name. Morrone shared with What Now Orlando that the concept should appear this summer, but a location and a name are not publicly available as of now.
