Good Life Organic Kitchen will open a new location, its first in Florida, in Celebration Pointe, a shopping center being built just off I-4, near the intersection of World Drive and Celebration Boulevard.
The franchise will be owned and operated by Gary and Faye Ledwell of Celebration. It is the first franchise for the couple. Faye said, as parents, they are excited to be bringing healthy fast casual food to the area.
The brand concept is a superfood and juice bar that serves smoothie bowls and smoothies — pick your milk base, pick your toppings and pick your superfood mix-ins — as well as soups, salads, sandwiches and power bowls.
The 127,000 sq. ft. Celebration Pointe shopping center will be anchored by a Publix. Faye Ledwell said they expect to open their Good Life Organic Kitchen in March 2022.
Eric Meyer, CEO of Good Life Organic Kitchen, said the chain has sold 58 franchises around the country. It has only one corporate-owned store, the one at its original location in Redding, Pennsylvania.
“We are on a mission to try to change people’s eating habits one smoothie bowl at a time,” Meyer said.
A new perk of the restaurant is that you can order on the Good Life app and get it delivered or have it waiting for you when you get there for curbside or in-store pickup, Meyer said.
He also said Good Life Organic Kitchen gives back part of its corporate profits to help the areas surrounding the franchise locations.
He said they have done everything from donating to the 9/11 Fund to helping a fire department put a gym in its new firehouse to donating to high school cheerleaders to help pay competition travel expenses.
He said the company has plans to open another Orlando location as well as ones in Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers.
