Sweet Buns Bakery & Cafe, a Hong Kong-style bakery, will soon be opening at 2021 E. Colonial Drive in Orlando, according to a recent report by Orlando Weekly

The restaurant will be run by John Zhao, the owner of two successful Central Florida restaurants—YH Seafood Clubhouse and Pho 813.

According to the report, the restaurant will be serving “Hong Kong-style diner fare” into the late-night hours, along with its offering of baked goods which will feature an assortment of breads, sweet buns, cakes, and other pastries.

And what will make the Sweet Buns approach so exceptional?

“Using traditional baking techniques, the team at Sweet Buns Bakery then crafts some of the most delicious and beautiful looking baked goods, buns, and cakes you have ever seen. Many people believe that the visual aspect of eating is one of the most important first steps in enjoying any meal. We eat with our eyes first and then with our taste buds,” Chef Zhao declares on the restaurant’s website.

Orlando Weekly adds that Mr. Zhao will be bringing Hong Kong-trained chefs to run the new bakery & restaurant, so foodies can be sure to have an authentic experience when the new location finally opens its doors.
