Hospitality HQ Takes Over New Food Hall in Orlando’s Packing District

The Packing District Food Hall is Projected to Open in 2023

The Packing District development announced the news that Dr. Phillips Charities have partnered with Hospitality HQ to oversee the food hall project in the works at their 202-acre redevelopment site. 

The proposed food hall will make up 17,300 square feet of the historic Southern Box building. The announcement promises 11 food vendors offering diverse flavors and highlighting immigrant cuisine. 

Hospitality HQ is a management group out of Brooklyn, NY, specializing in culinary consulting. The company was founded in 2019 by partners Michael Wetherbee and Chef Akhtar Nawab

Nawab handles food hall management for Hospitality HQ and has completed multiple food hall projects like Marble City Market in Knox County, TN, Dr. Murphy’s Food Hall in Chicago, Inner Rail Food Hall in Omaha Nebraska. 

Construction is expected to begin this August and will conclude in Q2 2023. For now, follow the Packing District Orlando on Facebook for construction updates and more art renderings on the project.
