According to recent public records, La Placita Paleteria y Taqueria, a new independent fast-casual concept, is on its way to Leesburg. The establishment will be found at 2401 W Main St.

“Taco and paletas are our concept,” owner Mario Hernandez tells What Now Orlando. “We are setting up a small kitchen for tacos, tostadas, and small plates such as those.”

When asked about the upcoming paletas lineup, Mr. Hernandez points to three classics — pineapple, watermelon, and strawberry.

“We found a great space there and are hoping to do well there,” he says, regarding La Placita’s Main Street location.

“We are currently working on finishing up the restaurant now, waiting for permits. If all goes well, we should open sometime in February.”
