Surf Subs, a new and independent sub shop, will soon be debuting in Vero Beach, according to recent public records. The eatery will be located at 118 43rd Ave, in a residential area largely unpopulated by restaurants.
What Now Orlando attempted to arrange an interview with Dina & Mike Iovine, the owners, but neither responded to requests for comment by time of publication.
Despite the lack of detail surrounding this upcoming addition to the food & beverage landscape of Vero Beach, readers may be heartened to find that the Iovine’s are seasoned restaurateurs with generous hearts.
As owners of Portofino Pizza and Pasta in Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, the couple provided meals for hungry neighbors at the height of the pandemic, at no cost to the customers.
