Chaat House will soon be bringing colorful Indian street food dishes to Central Florida, basing itself out of 117 Church Ave in Longwood, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. The new restaurant will replace the former Pete’s Eats.

Owner Saumya Thakrar tells What Now Orlando that Chaat House is a passion project he is hoping to develop over the next few months as he balances a full-time job outside of culinary endeavors. He looks forward to serving quintessential Indian street-food dishes such as Aloo Tikka Chaat and Ragda Patties.

Mr. Thakrar also intends to sell Chaat House dishes at The Pavilion in the Port Orange Farmer’s Market in the coming months and considers eventually opening a food truck, though no certain dates have been set in stone.

Whatever the future may hold, Mr. Thakrar’s culinary pursuits are sure to bring spice and color to the Central Florida culinary landscape.
