Urban Prime, an inspired market & eatery spearheaded by Chef Ercan Ekinci, will soon open at 2435 Metfield Drive in Melbourne, according to recent public records.

“We are guided by one of my catchphrases – shop, dine, and gather,” Mr. Ekinci effusively tells What Now Orlando.

“The marketplace is very vibrant. I will have nine departments there, including sushi. There will be a European-feel butcher shop offering great cuts of chicken, veal, and lamb. There will be around 9000 types of wines. There will be seafood, globally-sourced, such as salmon, snapper, grouper, and shrimp.”

Highlighting the carefully selected sourcing of Urban Prime’s offerings, Mr. Ekinci emphasizes his connections to farmers across the world.

“We will have olive oil from farmers I work with in Sicily and Greece, produce from France, Italy, and Spain, along with products from six Central Florida farmers.”

In way of the on-site dining, Ekinci says there will be brunch, lunch, and dinner serving steak, seafood dishes and pasta made with an Italian-imported pasta machine. Readers can also expect “craft cocktails made with fresh ingredients by our master sommelier.”

While Ekinci nears the end of inspections, no official opening date has been announced for the much-anticipated establishment.
