With a location in Lakeland and Winter Haven, J. Burns Pizza Shop is looking to add another location to the repertoire. On May 19, 2022, the brand initiated a plan review with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation for another Lakeland unit.
According to the filing, we can expect to find the next pizza shop at 3825 Florida Ave S. At this address, the new location will be roughly four miles from the original Lakeland unit. Expect it to neighbor Spice Thai & Sushi and Popeye’s Louisiana Chicken.
The company behind the filing is J Burns Pizza Maryoma Plaza LLC. Hunter Wade is the co-owner of the brand. What Now reached out to Wade, but we have yet to hear back. When the location will open is unclear, but it appears that they are still in the planning stage.
The brand has been open since 1965, and all along they have served thin and crispy pizza that is cut into square pieces.
